Canceling a Death Ward from across the screen is the core of this matchup for Zeus. His Lightning Bolt and Nimbus both provide reliable, long-range interrupts that can stop Witch Doctor's channel before it does any real damage. This constant threat forces the Witch Doctor to play from the shadows, often needing to wait for Zeus to be disabled or to use his spells on another target. On the other hand, if Witch Doctor gets the jump on an out-of-position Zeus, a Paralyzing Cask followed by Maledict is almost always a death sentence. The fight really comes down to which of these fragile heroes gets caught first.
