Invoker + Timbersaw

Why this works

Expecting this duo to control teamfights is a common mistake. Invoker thrives on setting up precise combos with abilities like Tornado and E.M.P., which require enemies to be grouped and somewhat predictable. Timbersaw’s entire game plan is the opposite. His goal is to create maximum chaos, using Timber Chain to dive deep and force the enemy team to split their attention and scatter. This constant, frantic movement makes it incredibly difficult for Invoker to land his most impactful area-of-effect spells, leaving him unable to fully contribute his damage.

As the game progresses, this lack of coordination becomes more apparent. Timbersaw wants to initiate and be the center of attention, but he can't provide the long-duration stun Invoker needs for a full combo. This results in disjointed fights where Timbersaw dives alone, drawing enemies apart, while Invoker is left on the outside looking for an opening that never materializes. A well-placed Cold Snap or Ice Wall might help Timbersaw survive, but the core issue remains: their playstyles are fundamentally at odds.
