How this matchup plays

Picking a hero like Huskar against a Medusa feels like a deliberate handicap for your team. Huskar thrives on diving a target, surviving at low health, and winning a fight of attrition through his passive. Medusa completely nullifies this game plan. Her Mana Shield provides a huge buffer that Huskar struggles to burn through, effectively ignoring the magic resistance he gains at low life. Mystic Snake only makes it worse, punishing his aggression by stealing mana to refuel her shield when he gets close. He is built to be a single-target explosive threat, and she is built to absorb exactly that.

Huskar’s only realistic path to victory is to snowball off Medusa's teammates and end the game before she gets a few core items. He has to completely ignore her in fights. Any attempt to Life Break a prepared Medusa will usually end with her using Stone Gaze, turning the gank around, and killing him with her team's help. As the game extends, the matchup becomes impossible. Medusa's sustained physical damage from Split Shot will shred a low-health Huskar from a safe distance, making his entire kit a liability.
