How this matchup plays

Using Omnislash against a team with Phantom Lancer is often awkward. His many illusions soak up the bounces, making it difficult for the ultimate to find priority targets. Blade Fury can help clear the clutter in the early game, but its impact fades as Phantom Lancer starts creating illusions faster than Juggernaut can spin. Phantom Lancer can also use Doppelganger to disjoint the initial Omnislash cast, leaving Juggernaut vulnerable once the spell ends.

This forces the game into a race. Juggernaut has strong timings in the early and mid-game, and he needs to press this advantage to create space and end the game before Phantom Lancer gets his core items. If the game goes late, Juggernaut is often forced to build items specifically for clearing illusions, which can slow down his own damage progression. This gives the Phantom Lancer player the time he needs to build a critical mass of illusions and start controlling teamfights.
